I have two different things to say. Firstly, the store is fantastic and the items and prices are great. However, secondly, I have been to this thrift store 4 times, and I have not been treated very well each time except for once. The only time I have been treated in a respectful way, was when I asked the cashier to put three items of clothing aside (because she told me to get cash, as the computer systems were down) so I went to get cash. When I returned, a store associate had put all the clothes back on the racks. I was commended for being “extremely “ patient and that was when I was treated well. The last time I went to the thrift store, a volunteer who appeared to be in charge acted suspicious of me. I am of ethnic descent. I can read the signs by the change rooms. They said “six items” at a time in change room. I asked politely if I could use a change room. The woman said yes, and I confirmed that I would only bring in six items. The woman went into the back, brought out another associate, and said to her, “I’m putting this lady in this changeroom, ok, she’s bringing a bunch of stuff into the change room,” she added with a sense of suspicion and disdain. Although I was taken aback, I continued to count six items which were on my finger, showed her, and I said, “I only have six items. Would you like to count what I’m bringing in?” She was incredibly sarcastic and rolled her eyes. She also acted exasperated. I was so upset, I didn’t try anything on. I felt so badly. I left my basket and left. I cried and my heart was racing. I did not appreciate being treated that way. Although I love the items at Hospice, I am scared to go back. If I do return, I’m going to go with my father.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This hospice thrift store is such a special place in the community. Every visit reminds me that it’s not just about shopping. It’s about supporting compassionate care for individuals and families facing cancer. That mission really shines through in everything they do. The store is always clean, welcoming, and beautifully organized. The selection feels thoughtfully curated, making it easy to find unique, quality items without feeling overwhelmed. It’s clear that a lot of care goes into maintaining such a positive and inviting space. I also want to recognize the current manager, who, despite only being in the role for a short time, has done an incredible job. The improvements to the layout have made a noticeable difference, and it’s evident they work closely with the team to create a supportive and efficient environment. The volunteers and staff are truly dedicated people who work hard and care deeply about the cause. Their kindness and commitment are felt the moment you walk in. This store is doing meaningful, important work...and doing it well! Highly recommend supporting them. ~Monica Star April 16, 2026

I love this place a lot. They often have great novels and very lovely mugs at very reasonable prices. The staff is very nice too.

Disappointing management and questionable safety policies. My wife had merchandise snatched out of her hand by a stranger who then proceeded to yell dirty words at her loudly in front of other customers—an incident witnessed by staff. Management even admitted this individual had been aggressive toward them in the past. However, they still refused to take any action to ban him, claiming "both parties" were accountable despite us being the ones bullied and harassed. It is clear they do not prioritize the safety of their patrons or follow through on their own "zero-tolerance" claims. Would not recommend.
